Description

This course provides a highly accelerated experience with PLC programming, TwinSAFE, and basic Point-to-Point motion control within the TwinCAT 3 environment.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to have good computer skills, existing programming experience with a text-based language, and experience with another PLC system and Motion Controller.

Audience

  • Controls engineers with existing industrial automation or programming experience looking to better understand the Beckhoff control solution

  • This class is not suitable for beginners

  • TwinCAT 3 software fundamentals

  • EtherCAT and IO hardware basics (brief)

  • PLC programming in structured text

  • TwinSAFE software and hardware introduction

  • Motion (NC PTP) software basics
